A cheap Pedometer

This is a pedometer. A little device, fixed to your belt, that count the number of steps when you are walking or running.
The principle is simple. When you walk, a little weight is moved up and down by your steps. It is helped to move by the little spring (the little wire you see on the first page). Each time the weight is moving down, it touches the battery and the counter is increased by one step.
The pink area on the bottom of the screen is a row of contacts made out of conductive rubber and connecting the PCB contact (the striped lines on the green PCB) to the screen.

Hand Counter

A lot of gears and a nice mechanism in this people/traffic counter.
